User Admin
With User Admin, putting a comprehensive authorisation concept into place in Cognos – as the name implies – is really easy. Setting up new groups, matching users to user groups, assigning the desired IBM Cognos roles, and granting authorisation based on groups, reports and folders is completed with just a few mouse clicks. At all times, you have control over active users and required licenses, plus, thanks to the intuitive interfaces, you can check even complex concepts while retaining an overview.

OLAP Security Admin
With OLAP Security Admin, user concepts are automatically depicted on the dimensions of a cube. Whether working with client structures, sales structures, or cost centre structures, a user can only analyse and generate reports in areas for which he has authorisation.

Report Admin
Generate analysis views yourself within just a few minutes – it’s possible without programming knowledge when you use Report Admin. Templates for various types of reports are supported by the comfortable assistant function making it easy to put together reports on your own. With Report Admin, even Cognos customers who don’t use Imtech Control can tap into the comprehensive possibilities of the innovative reporting system, making their reporting processes leaner and saving money.

Design Admin
Adapting the IBM Cognos Connection to your own corporate design or other layout templates without tool support is very time consuming and involves a lot of work as well as IT Knowhow. With Design Admin these types of adaptations, thanks to the assistant function, can be carried out within the intuitive and easy to understand user interface. Logos and images can be easily added, and colours and fonts can be specified with the push of a button. No programming knowledge is necessary therefore layout adaptation will not be dependent upon the availability of IT resource, but can be carried out directly within the department.

Localisation Admin
Localising existing BI and CPM solutions into additional languages is often avoided due to the high level of associated time and effort required. The software system is run in English or another company language – risking misunderstandings or acceptance problems among users. With the help of Localisation Admin, internationalising or localising an IBM Cognos or Imtech Control environment is simplified significantly. The contents (Meta data) of the DWH (in Imtech Control available in English and German), the OLAP Cube, reports and the like can be easily translated into the required languages using an Excel-based translation table. As soon as a translation is ready, an additional language setting, i.e. a local language front-end application, can be easily implemented with Localisation Admin within just a few days.

Job Admin
Optimise all processes by automating jobs to the greatest extent possible. From ETL processes for filling DWH’s, to generation of OLAP Cubes or other batch runs, the Job Admin handles the required tasks at the desired time automatically and records the process. When a job is finished – successful or not – the administrator receives an automatic e-mail notification, so that, if necessary, he can step in and take action.

Data Warehouse Admin
In conjunction with Imtech Control the Data Warehouse Admin component of easyAdmin enables documentation of the DWH with the push of a button. And all business management expansions of the DWH from Imtech Control can be easily recorded. The DWH integrated version comparison function simplifies upgrades to new releases, so Data Warehouse Admin is also highly effective during migration projects.
